In Shahdol, in the central Indian state of Madhya Pradesh, the economy is booming.
A prestigious 470 km gas pipeline is currently being completed. The material used is PE 100, with diameters ranging from 4″ to 24″ and SDR 11.
The work involves collecting methane gas directly from the wells (303 of them): the Coal Bed Methane.

CBM is the natural gas stored (mostly absorbed) in deeply buried coal seams. It is also known as Coal Seam Gas (CSG). It is extracted by depressurizing coal seams through prolonged dehydration. It is therefore a « noble » gas that requires no treatment before being sold and is composed of approximately 95% pure methane with few heavy hydrocarbons. This type of gas is also collected directly from coal mines before extraction begins.

The welding teams operating have been trained directly by Ritmo, while on-site they are supported by the staff of Leister Technologies India, the exclusive distributor of Ritmo products for India.
To create this prestigious work, several Ritmo welders were used, all from the TRAILER family: Delta 250 Trailer, Delta 355 Trailer, Delta 500 Trailer and Delta 630 Trailer.

The choice to use TRAILER technology brings significant advantages: a trailer-mounted welder, the possibility of using the EASY LIFE automated welding cycle (a RITMO Plus), built-in data-logging, as well as the ease of use of these welders.
Added to these advantages is the choice to weld according to the specifications of the ISO 21307 High Pressure standard, which allows for a reduction in working times of up to 60%. This feature is allowing the work to be completed within the established delivery times.

During breaks, talking with the welders, everyone speaks with great enthusiasm about this project, for the potential it will offer in economic return… but there is no shortage of compliments on the ease of use of these machines, to the point that everyone agrees in identifying this feature as a peculiarity of the Ritmo brand.
On the construction site, work is proceeding at a rapid pace, and the completion of each section is cause for celebration because there is an awareness of new opportunities, of wealth.
So in the villages the air is filled with perfumes, incense and spices… the scents of the Orient.
